The Remover of Obstacles . . a rare and old Rattanakosin Bronze Ganesh typical of the style with finely jeweled trappings and throne. Extremely well cast and detailed.
Gold gilt with a light lacquer coating was applied to protect the bronze. No pitting or metal degradation.
I acquired this piece from a highly respected dealer / gallery owner in Bangkok in 2000. Circa mid- to late- 1800’s. In very fine condition. 10.5″ tall x 7.75″ at widest point. For the Serious Collector.
