This vessel – with a guardian foo dog on top – is a quality piece of art. I acquired it from an Asian art dealer in Los Angeles in the early 2000s. It was cast in Shanxi Province in a foundry near the famous Houma Foundry.
Age unknown but the dealer said he acquired it in the late 1940’s in an antique shop in modern day Houma. In excellent condition. Stands not included.
