In 1985, I purchased from a local artisan who set up shop on one of the many piers in the harbor. I believe this was carved from Barbados Mahagony (swietenia mahogany), a tropical wood well known in the cabinetry industry. In original condition except for an aging crack.
A light black stain was either hand-rubbed into the wood or applied. Circa early 1980s. 10.5″ tall x 4.5″ at widest point. Stands not included.
